Why is my DTH service not activated even after successful recharge on PurnPay?
- Activation may take up to 20 minutes after the recharge is completed. We request you to wait for 20 minutes and check again.
- The DTH card must be inserted properly in the set-top box.
- The TV and set-top box must be switched on at the time of recharge.
Please remove the DTH card and insert it again, and switch the TV and set-top box off and on again.
In case you still don't receive the recharge benefits, you can contact your DTH provider for support.
DTH recharges cannot be cancelled on PurnPay once you have made the payment successfully. For further assistance, we request you to contact your service provider for support.
PurnPay account makes payments amazingly easy. Please follow the simple steps given below :
1. Select DTH under the New Payments section on home screen
2. Select DTH service provider. The available DTH providers on PurnPay are:
- Airtel Digital TV, - Dish TV, - Sun Direct, - Tata Sky, - D2H
3. Enter the necessary identification details as requested by your service provider
4. Enter the amount you want to recharge
5. Choose your preferred mode of payment (UPI/Net-Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/PurnPay Wallet) and complete your payment instantly.
Note: Please keep the DTH set-top box and the TV switched on and ensure that the card is inserted properly while recharging.
If the details you entered for your DTH account are valid, the recharge will be successful. In cases of incorrect details or technical failure, the payment goes through but recharges fail at the service provider’s end. Recharges done using PurnPay wallet will be refunded within 24 hours for such failed transactions. For other payment methods, the refund will be processed in 5-7 business days, depending upon your bank's policy. Your bank usually sends you an SMS once the refund is successfully credited. Important: If you have received any cashback for the DTH recharge, the cashbank amount will be deducted from the refund amount.
Usually, DTH recharges on PurnPay are completed instantly. In rare cases, however, your DTH recharge may take time due to technical difficulties. In these cases, it means that we are waiting for a payment confirmation from your DTH provider. The status of your pending DTH recharge payment will be auto-updated within 2 working days from the date of your payment. We recommend you to check the final status of this recharge in the My Transactions section of your PurnPay app.
As of now, five DTH players are part of the Bharat Bill Pay System (BBPS): Airtel Digital TV, Sun Direct, Tata Sky, Dish TV and D2H. You will see the BBPS logo if you try to recharge any of these operators.
NPCI, as the authorized central unit for BBPS, will also undertake clearing and settlement activities related to transactions routed through BBPS, enhancing customer confidence and experience.
